Eye-Catching & Elegant: Two Poems About Presence That Isn't Performance

Eye-Catching is about presence — the kind that has nothing to do with how loud you are in a room. Elegant is about what holds that presence up from the inside, when nobody's watching.
EYE-CATCHING
They say eye-catching is the spark in the night,
A flash of color, a burst of light.
But I've learned it's more than what meets the eye,
It's the way your spirit can never hide.
It's the way you carry yourself, full of grace,
The confidence you wear, lighting up the place.
It's the warmth in your smile, the joy in your laugh,
A light that shines, showing your true path.
Eye-catching is the way you stand tall,
Unapologetically you, through it all.
It's the way your presence fills the air,
And makes others stop and take a moment to care.
It's not in the clothes or the style you choose,
But in the energy you give, the vibe you use.
It's in the way you make others feel,
Like you're the most real thing they can steal.
Eye-catching isn't just for the bold or the loud,
It's in the quiet ones, standing proud.
It's in being yourself, without trying too hard,
And knowing that you're a masterpiece, perfectly scarred.
ELEGANT
While elegance is grace in every move,
A poised, calm air that makes hearts groove.
I've learned it's more than how you appear,
It's the quiet strength that draws others near.
It's the way I speak, with kindness and care,
The gentle touch, the way I'm always there.
It's the smile that lights up even the darkest place,
And the confidence that shines through every space.
Elegant is how you stand through the storm,
With your head held high, in any form.
It's knowing that true beauty comes from within,
And it's the soul's peace that makes you begin.
It's the way I listen, with an open heart,
Giving my time, never falling apart.
It's in the soft way I choose to lead,
And how I help others with sincere belief.
Elegant isn't just in the clothes you wear,
It's in the love and grace you share.
It's the art of living with poise and with pride,
A reflection of peace that can't be denied.
